U.S. Peace Council is planning to send three delegates to participate in the annual Secretariat Meeting of the World Peace Council, which will be held this year in Hanoi, Vietnam, on November 21-23, 2017.
At the Secretariat meeting, leaders of the WPC will propose further efforts for international cooperation on peace and justice issues for the coming year. This year’s meeting, hosted by the Vietnam Peace Committee, will be discussing, among other items, the proposal by the U.S. Peace Council to create a broad, international coalition to close the U.S. military bases on foreign soil.
The USPC has already helped initiate a U.S. Coalition Against U.S. Foreign Military Bases that will hold a national conference in January 2018.
